8 singers you didn't remember winning the Oscar award.

The Academy Award, also known as the Oscar Prize or simply Oscar, is the most prestigious and oldest film award in the world, as it was awarded for the first time on May 16, 1929, three years before the Venice Film Festival began to award its prizes.

The awards are conferred by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS), an honorary professional organization made up of personalities (mostly American) who have advanced their careers in the world of cinema such as actors, directors, producers and many others, and which in 2007 had about 6,000 voting members.
