The most listened to rock bands on YouTube: here are the Top 10 (and in which countries they scored the most listens)
Liberty Games, a British company leader in the design, sale and distribution of arcade equipment and products, has compiled a ranking of the rock band most listened to music videos in the world, country by country.
To make this list, referring to 2022, Liberty Games took into account data from music video listening on YouTube for a total of 12 months.
Subsequently, Liberty Games also published the map of the band most listened to country by country: here is Top 10 (and in which states these bands are listened to the most).

10. Pink Floyd (494 million streams)
They open the ranking with Pink Floyd, which is the most listened to rock bands ever in only one country: Libya.
9. Creedence Clearwater Revival (561 million streams)
Creedence Clearwater Revival was played 561 million times during 2022: despite this, band does not appear to be the most listened to by far in any of the states where data are available from streaming of YouTube.
8. The Rolling Stones (571 million streams)
Like Creedence Clearwater Revival, Rolling Stones despite having totaled nearly half a billion streams are not the most listened to group in any of the countries surveyed.
7. The Beatles (1.01 billion streams)
Right after the Stones we could only find the Beatles: Fab Four are the most listened to classic rock band in Japan.
6. Nirvana (1.05 billion streams)
The next three bands on the charts totaled the same number of streams: all three 1.05 billion. Therefore, to establish the ranking, Liberty Games took into consideration in how many countries these bands are the most listened to overall. Nirvana, for example, are not first in any country.
5. Metallica (1.05 billion streams)
Metallica on the other hand is the rock (and metal) band most listened to in six countries-Albania, Bulgaria, Finland, Syria, Iran and Jordan.
4. Bon Jovi (1.05 billion streams)
Bon Jovi also totaled 1.05 billion plays on YouTube, but it is the most listened band in as many as 16 nations: including Qatar, Vietnam, Kenya, Madagascar, Belize, Indonesia, Kuwait and Cambodia.
3. Guns N' Roses (1.33 billion streams)
In third place are Guns N' Roses, which emerges as the favorite band in eight countries-Brazil, Thailand, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Colombia, Costa Rica, and Nepal.
2. AC/DC (1.33 billion streams)
Second place for AC/DC who are the most listened band in 14 different countries, including the United States, Canada, Germany, Switzerland, Iceland, Sweden, New Zealand, South Africa and, of course, Australia.
1. Queen (1.86 billion streams)
At the top we find Queen, which totaled nearly 2 billion total plays in 2022 and is the band most listened to in no less than 63 countries! These include the United Kingdom, France, Italy, Ireland, Spain, Argentina, Egypt, India, the Czech Republic, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Morocco. What about the other band (and beyond) where are they most listened to?
Eagles is the most listened band in four countries
In particular, to love Eagles more than any other band are Fiji, Papua New Guinea, Laos and Bahrain.
U2 tops in one country
The band of Bono is the most widely listened to in Angola alone.
Not only bands: there is also David Bowie!
In China the rock most listened artist is not part of a band, but is a solo artist such as David Bowie, who outperforms all other groups in this country.
