Who were Chester Bennington's musical idols?
After his parents' divorce, Chester went to live with his dad and older brother, who encouraged him to listen to groups such as Foreigner, Loverboy and Rush: it was from his brother that he learned to sing at the age of two, singing a song from the Foreigner repertoire . The singer's musical influences include, among others, Alice in Chains and Nirvana. In addition, Chester revealed in an interview that he was a big fan of Madonna, crediting her with raising him as a musician, despite the fact that she was doing a completely different genre.

Linkin Park's origin
Chester Bennington joined Linkin Park after their formation: the singer was contacted by Jeff Blue and performed an audition over the phone, after which he was convinced to move to Los Angeles to play with band, which at the time was called Xero. In 1999, Xero changed its name to Hybrid Theory, and then to Lincoln Park, which was meant  to be the final name. However, the domain lincolnpark.com had already been purchased: therefore, not having enough money, band decided to opt for the name "Linkin Park".

Chester Bennington had a brief acting career
Even if music was Chester Bennington's main activity, the singer appeared in some film works including the 2010 film "Saw 3D", in which he plays the victim of one of the riddler's games. The musician also had a small part in the 2006 film "Crank" and its sequel "Crank: High Voltage" of 2009.
