Queen's entire music catalogue could be sold for an exorbitant sum. A CNN source revealed the news. According to the quoted source, negotiations to sell Queen's catalogue are well underway for Universal Music Group to acquire it from Disney Music Group.

Highest sale ever
If the sale of Queen's catalogue succeeds, it could be the highest ever. There is talk of a sum of around $1.1 billion, which would beat the previous record for the sale of Bruce Springsteen's catalogue, which was sold for around $500 million in December 2021.

Disney would not want to sell
Despite rumours of an imminent sale, another source consulted by CNN is reported to have stated that Disney would not be inclined to give up Queen's invaluable music catalogue.
